PE
At Belmont C of E Primary School, we are passionate about equipping our pupils with the skills and values to become happy and healthy adults. To ensure that we fulfil these aims, we recognise the importance of educating our children about the importance of healthy lifestyles so that they implement these recommendations into their own lives.
Through the variety of sports and fitness opportunities that we offer, we encourage children to foster a love for sport and physical activity. It is hoped that this will encourage them to continue these sports outside of school, play for a team and follow their interests as they progress to KS3. Through our teaching, our enjoyable inclusive, yet challenging, lessons allow all of our children to develop confidence and competence in order to succeed and reach their full potential. Their skills will be developed through a broad range of sporting and fitness activities to complement their individual needs. Through our teaching of PE, our pupils will develop transferable skills of fairness and respect. Through their participation in competitive sports, they will cooperate and collaborate with others while working with others.
